This Repair Kit Includes The Bonnet And Poppet Assemblies O-Ring Spring E-Ring Washer Stem Rubber Disc And Grease Bag. It Is Designed For Febco 765 Backflow Preventers And Pressure Vacuum Breakers Fitting Both 1-Inch And 1-1/4 Inch Models. Febco Part Number 905-212.
Installation Is Straightforward And Takes Less Than 5 Minutes With No Special Tools Required. Follow These Steps:
- Close The Outlet Shutoff Valve Then The Inlet Shutoff Valve.
- Drain Residual Water Completely.
- Unscrew The Top Nut And Release The Brass Canopy.
- Remove And Dispose Of Old Bonnet Poppet Parts.
- Insert The New Poppet Into The Chamber.
- Unscrew Nuts From The Bonnet Copper Column.
- Hand-Tighten The Bonnet Part Clockwise Into The Vacuum Breaker (Apply Grease To Threading If Needed).
- Place The Canopy Onto The Secured Bonnet Part By Guiding The Bonnet Column Through The Canopy Hole.
- Tighten The Top Nuts To Secure The Canopy.
- Open The Inlet Ball Valve To Pressurize The Device. Temporary Splashing Is Normal And Will Stop Once Pressurized.
- Slowly Open The Outlet Ball Valve To Fill The Downstream Line.
